BabyContributed by Pat, Dan, Amanda, and Katie "She was recused by our 15 year old daughter who found her playing in traffic near our home. Baby followed her & her 18 year old sister & her friend 3 blocks because they paid attention to her and cared enough to get her out of the street."Sadie" was thin, we could see her ribs. She was starved for attention of any kind, but loved the fact that we hugged on her and loved her.... We were going to foster her until she found a home. Here in Columbus, pits and pit mixes are euthanized quickly, and we could not do that. Our landlord's wife works with an animal rescue group that specializes in pit bulls, in fact they have 2 rescued pits. She provided us with enough food and Jumbones to last til the end of time. She worked her way into our lives and went from being a "rescued foster dog" to part of our family. She was so thin & skittish that day in August, it is hard to believe that she is the same loving, protective, playful dog she is now. She is very loving in response to our love for her.... We are so lucky to have a dog as good as Baby. She came to us for a reason and she brings us joy and happiness and love. She is rescued, she is loved. Most of all, she is family." |
