There are a few non-breed-specific insurance companies like State Farm that serve most states (however, companies in areas with BSL may have different rules). Individual agents can also set their own rules. And some companies make exceptions for individual dogs that are of a blacklisted breed, but who have passed a Canine Good Citizen test and gotten a certificate. Anyway, call around and see what you can do. When you find a company that will accept you as a customer regardless of your dog's breed, make the switch, then write a letter to your old carrier letting them know why they won't be seeing another dollar of your money. I found this site because I was just dropped for my home owners insurance" because I own a PIT BUL." The notice said I would need to get rid of my dog before I could get my insurance. I was tring to find a loop hole but found you instead good luck and I will start to donate. Oh yea and I will NOT get rid of my baby!!!!!!!!! I have a 3 year old male that is like one of my children.
