People think that the devil made pit bulls

Why is the “no more than two dogs” law for some people but not for everyone in North Fond du Lac?

I lost my pit bull puppy, Diago, because that law was made just for people with pit bulls.

I did have three pit bulls until the police and the North Fond du Lac Village Board made us give our puppy Diago away.

When I walk or ride my bike to school or to my friend’s house, I see lots of people with three dogs. One house on Michigan Avenue has four dogs. Our neighbors have three dogs.

A policeman came to my house to see if Diago was gone, he just smiled while my mom was crying because of the unfairness. Diago didn’t bite or growl at anyone.

The police told us last year that our dogs can’t run in our backyard when we would play ball with them. They always have to be on a six-foot leash. It makes my dogs and me sad when we watch our neighbor’s dogs run and play ball without leashes.

I believe that God makes all people and all animals, big and small. Our neighbors, the police and other people who hate pit bulls, never met mine. They think the devil made pit bulls.

Can other pit bull owners write in and tell these people how sweet pit bulls are and to look at each one as an individual like we are supposed to? Maybe then these people won’t think that the devil makes pit bulls.

The best Christmas present for my brothers, my sister, my mom, and me is to bring Diago home. Maybe my mom won’t cry anymore then.

  1. I am very sorry to hear of that unfairness. I am a proud pit bull owner and they are the sweetest most loyal dogs. Bandit would never hurt a fly.
